Environmentally Friendly and Responsible Sourcing of Materials
Fire Resistant Doorset Manufacturing Scheme
Strong Shield Fire Doors currently holds Bluesky Fire Resistant Doorset Manufacturing Scheme Certification. Bluesky provide a UKAS accredited fire resistant door manufacturing scheme which applies to the manufacture of timber door sets. To join the fire door manufacturing scheme, Strong Shield needs to provide test evidence for the doors we are manufacturing. Fire doors manufactured in line with BS476 Pt22 and BS EN 1634. An initial audit is conducted at our factory, to verify that we are controlling the manufacture products in line with the specifications in the test evidence. Ongoing requirements to maintain the certification include at least one factory audit per year and three yearly fire resistance testing.
UKCA Exterior Fire Doorset Manufacturing Scheme
Strong Shield Fire Doors also holds Bluesky UKCA Exterior Fire Door certification. This scheme applies to external fire resistant doorsets and the applicable standard is BS EN 16034. Strong Shield Fire Doors needs to demonstrate that we comply with all of the requirements of the standard, and that our documentation for UKCA marking (e.g. Declaration of Performance, UKCA marks) has been correctly produced.
Factory Production Control and sampling audit(s) are required, as well as providing test evidence for our doorsets, together with a classification reports.
Annual audit visits are required to confirm our ongoing compliance.
